Depression Testing Package

350 SAR

The Depression Wellness Profile is designed to evaluate important laboratory markers that may contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, low mood, poor concentration, and reduced energy. This comprehensive panel assesses nutritional status, thyroid function, liver and kidney health, helping healthcare providers identify potential medical conditions that may be associated with depressive symptoms.

Tests Included in the Depression Wellness Profile:

Complete Blood Count (CBC)

Evaluates red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin, and platelets. It helps detect anemia, infection, and other blood disorders that may contribute to fatigue and reduced energy levels.

Urea

Measures the kidneys’ ability to eliminate waste products from the body and provides information about kidney function.

Creatinine

A key marker of kidney function that helps assess how efficiently the kidneys filter waste from the bloodstream.

Uric Acid

Measures the level of uric acid in the blood and helps evaluate conditions such as gout and disorders of purine metabolism.

Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST)

A liver enzyme used to assess liver health. Elevated levels may indicate liver injury or damage to other tissues.

Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT)

A liver enzyme that is highly sensitive to liver cell injury and is commonly used to evaluate liver function.

Liver Function Panel

A comprehensive assessment of liver health, including enzymes such as ALP and GGT, which help evaluate liver and biliary tract function.

Vitamin D

Measures vitamin D status, which is essential for bone health, immune function, and normal muscle function. Low vitamin D levels have been associated with fatigue and may contribute to mood-related symptoms in some individuals.

Vitamin B12

Essential for healthy nerve function, red blood cell production, and DNA synthesis. Vitamin B12 deficiency may contribute to fatigue, memory difficulties, and neurological symptoms.

Magnesium

An essential mineral involved in muscle function, nerve signaling, energy production, and normal heart rhythm.

Folate (Vitamin B9)

Supports DNA synthesis, healthy red blood cell production, and normal cell growth. Folate deficiency may contribute to certain types of anemia and neurological symptoms.

Thyroid Function Tests

Evaluate thyroid hormone levels to assess thyroid gland function. Thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, can produce symptoms that may resemble or contribute to mood changes.

Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR):

A test that estimates the kidneys’ efficiency in filtering blood and is an important indicator of overall kidney health
