Liver Function Package

The Liver Function Package includes the following tests:

– Liver Enzymes (ALT & AST)

These tests measure the levels of Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) and Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) in the blood. Elevated levels of these enzymes may indicate liver cell damage or inflammation and can be associated with various liver conditions

– Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT)

This test evaluates the level of Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT), an enzyme found in the liver and bile ducts. Increased GGT levels may suggest liver disease, bile duct obstruction, or other hepatobiliary disorders

– Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP)

The Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) test measures the level of this enzyme in the blood. Elevated ALP levels may indicate liver or bile duct disorders and can also be associated with certain bone conditions

– Total Protein, Albumin & Globulin

These tests are used to measure the levels of total protein, albumin, and globulin in the blood. Total protein helps assess liver function and overall nutritional status, while albumin and globulin help evaluate liver function and the transport of proteins and antioxidants in the blood.

– Total Bilirubin & Direct Bilirubin

produced during the breakdown of red blood cells.
Total Bilirubin measures the overall bilirubin level in the blood.
Direct Bilirubin measures the conjugated form processed by the liver.
Elevated bilirubin levels may indicate liver disease, bile duct obstruction, or conditions affecting red blood cell breakdown
