Tests Included in the Heart Health Package

• 1. CK-MB (Creatine Kinase-MB)
• CK-MB is a cardiac enzyme that may increase when the heart muscle is injured. It is used alongside other clinical assessments and cardiac biomarkers to help evaluate suspected heart muscle damage.

• 2. Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH)
  
  
  LDH is an enzyme found in many tissues throughout the body, including the heart. Elevated LDH levels may indicate tissue damage and can provide additional information when evaluating cardiac or other medical conditions.

  3. Homocysteine

  This test measures the level of homocysteine in the blood. Elevated homocysteine has been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and may help assess overall cardiovascular risk when interpreted with other clinical findings.

• 4. Lipoprotein (a) – Lp(a)

  • Lipoprotein (a), or Lp(a), is an inherited cardiovascular risk marker. Elevated Lp(a) levels are associated with an increased risk of atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease, heart attack, and stroke, independent of traditional cholesterol levels.
